Can you go into a bit more detail? It sounds good but I'm having a hard
time picturing it.

The folder behaviour? Yeah, that's true. No reason we can't have a
folders of instances in the dock, _and_ a tabular launcher like this.

Yeah, I don't think it would be used often. Would be fine to do it by
right-clicking the dock icon or window decorations or something.
