Yeah, I think it would be a great idea to link to that from the build configuration page in the Spectrum documentation, as an example. To clarify, I don't expect the *generic* x86_64 image to use a build configuration file, nor would I expect a generic aarch64 image to. The build configuration file is there for when it's neccesary to override the defaults, for example to use a custom kernel.
