Everybody who's even slightly paying attention will notice progress has not been fast recently. The overhead from project management, funding, etc. has been getting to me for a while, and that's made it very difficult for me to find the motivation and energy to make progress on my own work. This is no good, so I have accepted that I am burnt out and need some recovery time. I will therefore be taking a break from Spectrum starting from next week, for at least a month, maybe two. During that time I hope to recover, but I also have another hope. Computer security is going through some turbulent times right now, and I hope that distance from day-to-day work will give me space to think about Spectrum's place in this new world we find ourselves in, where the cost of finding and exploiting vulnerabilities is tending towards free. I've tried to leave things in as good a state as possible, so that progress can keep being made in my absence. Of course, anybody who is involved in funded Spectrum work and needs my attention during my break to keep that going should feel free to contact me as required. Thanks everyone for your ongoing support, and I look forward to reporting back in a month or two with a clearer mind.
