Subject: Service interruptions for the binary cache, matrix <-> irc connection and owncast the 27th of july
Date: Mon, 6 Jul 2026 20:16:45 +0200	[thread overview]

Hi everyone,

Thought I would give a heads up well in advanced but the 27th of july
I'm going to migrate from one datacenter to another. This means that the
binary cache (cache.dataaturservice.se), the matrix <-> irc connection
between #spectrum:fairydust.space and #spectrum on Libera and irc and
the owncast service is going to be offline for most of the 27th and
maybe even 28-29th.

I'm going to be doing quite some maintenance on the underlying
infrastructure too, not just a 1:1 move, hence it might take some time
before everything is up and running as usual after the move.

Hopefully this goes smoothly and everything is up and running already
before midnight the 27th but there is a lot of moving parts.

The goal is to both mail out an all-clear and inform the matrix/irc
channels when everything is finished.

Kind regards
Daniel kuehn
